From LMS rollout to an active learning culture at TDK Electronics

Customized training package for WeConnect LMS paves the way for comprehensive user acceptance

With WeConnect, the learning management system from Cornerstone OnDemand, TDK Electronics uses a modern platform that offers a wide range of functions, learning formats and options for controlling and managing learning. In order for WeConnect to fully realize its benefits, it was crucial that all target groups (employees, managers and course instructors) were able to use the platform safely and independently.

To this end, it was important to consider the different experiences, expectations and learning styles of the user groups. Some employees wanted to explore the new possibilities directly themselves, while others preferred a clear, step-by-step orientation in the system.

This diversity made it clear how valuable a training concept is that includes all target groups and makes it easier for them to get started. A concept that provides orientation, creates trust and enables each user group to use WeConnect in a way that really benefits them.

Objective

The aim of the project was to develop a comprehensive training concept that addresses the needs of three different user groups: employees, managers and trainers. A structured, application-oriented training architecture was to address typical usage scenarios and lay the foundations for a positive user experience.

Project results

Together with TDK Electronics, we have developed a training concept that specifically addresses all relevant user groups. The concept takes into account the different levels of experience in using WeConnect and offers customized methodical approaches for each target group.

The systematic approach is particularly noteworthy: From a detailed analysis of the initial situation and clear learning objectives to specific success factors and possible challenges. The training package is designed to cover both the technical functions of WeConnect and change management aspects.

Findings from the concept development

The development process has shown that successful training concepts go far beyond the mere teaching of functions: Expectation management, cultural adaptation and scalability are equally important success factors.

The concept developed places particular emphasis on interactive elements, realistic time planning and the promotion of willingness to change. The structured approach has created a very good basis for offering employees at TDK Electronics the best possible orientation in WeConnect.
